We named the brand after a composer who lost his hearing in his late twenties and kept showing up to revise. Not as a flex — as a north star. Beethoven didn't ship until the work was right. Neither do we.
The drugstore stuff is harsh. The premium stuff is overpriced for the same generic formula behind a nicer label. We started Pethoven because neither was a shampoo we'd actually want to use ourselves — let alone on a dog with reactive skin.
The line is four movements. Adagio for sensitive skin — gentle and slow. Allegro for long coats — lively, fresh, detangling. Crescendo for dry, dull coats — builds shine over weeks. Forte for paws — a strong barrier for hot pavement and winter salt.
Hand-mixed in small batches in Tartu, Estonia — under EU cosmetic standards, which are stricter than US FDA for pet products.
We test every batch on our own dogs first. If they won't use it, it doesn't ship. There's no second take in cosmetics — the work has to be right the first time.

Each bottle is hand-finished in our workshop in Tartu, Estonia.
