Rural and outdoor dogs
For dogs that spend real time outside — farm dogs, hunting dogs, weekend hikers in the Poconos — the hemp-rosemary shampoo is the one we ship most. It cleans more thoroughly than the avocado-lavender, handles the heavier dirt these dogs accumulate, and the hemp seed oil restores the coat's natural oil layer after a strong wash. My dog has thick double coat — which shampoo?
For double-coated breeds (huskies, shepherds, retrievers), the coconut-peppermint formula is usually a better fit than the hemp-rosemary. It rinses out more completely from a thick undercoat, which matters because residual shampoo in a double coat causes itching for days.
Is the paw wax non-toxic if my dog licks it?
Yes. It's shea butter, beeswax, and a small amount of plant oils — all food-grade ingredients. Some dogs will lick it off immediately after you apply it, which defeats the purpose; if that's your dog, apply it 5 minutes before the walk so it sets.
